Compliance Analyst

Job Description

Our client is a Cyprus registered company which operates an EMI Licensed by the Central Bank of Cyprus. Due to the rapid growth of their international clientele within the European, Asian and African Markets, they are currently looking to hire a Compliance Analyst to join their team based in Nicosia. You will be working in a team of 4, reporting to the Head of Compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implement an effective regulatory compliance program;
  • Responding to the Regulator in a professional manner in within the deadlines;
  • Reporting to the Regulator based on Company’s reporting obligations;
  • Drafting and/or reviewing existing procedures and policies;
  • Suggesting and introducing new policies and procedures pursuant to the regulatory framework;
  • Performing risk assessment and preparing relevant reports to help the Company understand compliance risk;
  • Monitoring Company’s compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with the relevant laws;
  • Recording findings properly and following up with management to ensure the issues are rectified;
  • Reviewing marketing materials, websites and presentations to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Performing administrative tasks such as file creation and maintaining files of ongoing projects
  • Collaborating with management from other departments to ensure compliance and investigating irregularities
  • Audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses and suggest improvements
  • Evaluate business activities and relationships to assess compliance risk;
  • Communicating with external advisors to discuss concerns in regards to compliance standards;
  • Following up with Sanctions circulars and reviewing Sanctions Procedures;

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree;
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • English at a high level (read, speech and written);
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills;
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools;


Additional Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a FI/PS/EMI will be considered an advantage;
  • Experience in monitoring of transactions will be considered an advantage;
  • Any comfortable communication in additional languages will be considered an advantage;
  • Flexible to travel;
  • Willing to attend to several seminars.
