Senior Civil Engineer – Residential Projects (London-Based)
Our client is a a well-established European contractor with a strong international footprint, delivering high-quality construction projects across multiple countries. The Group is currently expanding into the UK market with an exciting new residential development in London and is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their team on-site.
Through the combined operations of its companies in the fields of Construction, Land Development, Raw Materials Production, and Energy, the Group has gained significant momentum, creating opportunities for further expansion.
This is a critical role within the project delivery team. The successful candidate will oversee the civil engineering aspects of the company’s residential development, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to work on a flagship development and be part of a growing international company.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage all civil engineering activities on-site, including groundwork, infrastructure, and structural elements.
- Liaise with architects, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure designs and plans are executed correctly.
- Ensure compliance with UK building codes, regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring the project remains on schedule and within scope.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and construction staff.
- Prepare reports, conduct site inspections, and attend project meetings.
Requirements – Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering, ideally including UK-based residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- EU/UK work authorization required.
