Payments Officer

Job Description

Our client is an established EMI licensed by the Central Bank of Cyprus. With international affiliations, and a growing presence they are looking to hire a Payments Officer for their Finance team based in Nicosia, Cyprus.  


Reporting to the Deputy CFO, you will be responsible for:


  • Liaising with Payment Providers and handling any queries that they may have;
  • Monitoring of Payment Provider's volumes and balances, ensuring available funds for processing;
  • Perform daily Payment Provider's transactions reconciliations and carry out reconciliation investigations;
  • Data entry of financial transactions in companies’ platforms;
  • Monthly fee calculation, invoice, and statement reconciliation and reporting;
  • Handling refunds and chargebacks;
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned. And any other duties and responsibilities that the Employer may reasonably request from the Employee from time to time, according to business needs.


Your Profile:

  • University graduate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position in a Financial Institution/Payment Systems/EMI;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced knowledge of MS Excel;
  • Fluency in English both verbal and written;
  • Proactivity and fast learning skills;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a team structure;


Additional Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of the task management system JIRA will be considered an advantage;
  • A Master’s degree or professional qualification in a relevant field will be considered an advantage;
  • Flexibility to travel;
  • Willing to attend several seminars.
