Job Description

Our client, an established telecommunications firm that operates as a vendor to the ship management industry seeks to hire a Human Resources Officer.


The Human Resources Officer will work together with the Head of HR to develop a superior workforce and develop the Human Resources department by having as a primary goal to shape and maintain a culture in the organization that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Assists with research, as required, in order to form and implement effective HR policies and procedures
  • Is actively involved in recruitment by drafting job descriptions, posting job openings, and managing the hiring process
  • Administers the staff Onboarding and Exit Procedure
  • Assists in developing training and development programs
  • Organizes staff training sessions and activities and maintains the staff training schedule
  • Assists in performance management processes by coordinating activities and assisting all staff as required
  • Supports the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Maintains employee records (attendance, certifications, etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
  • Maintains employee files in accordance with applicable guidelines and legislation
  • Reviews employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance and employee satisfaction
  • Provides administrative support with regard to employee benefits


Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or any other related field
  • At least 2-4 years of previous experience in a similar position
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High sense of initiative, professionalism, and responsibility
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent command of the written and spoken English language
  • Must be currently living and working in Cyprus
