Job Description

Our client, one of the leading technology firms that operates primarily in the Shipping industry is looking to hire a Systems Administrator for their team in Limassol.


The ideal candidate will design, organize, and modify the company's computer systems. This individual will evaluate and assess systems to ensure they are operating effectively. Based on assessments, this individual will harness collected knowledge and make adjustments to existing systems. 


Your Responsibilities include:

  • Excellent knowledge of the company’s electronic systems.
  • Maintaining the computer system of our company.
  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users and analyze and isolate issues.
  • Monitor networks to ensure security.
  • Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
  • Administer servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, company mobile phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
  • Monitor and fulfill DNS request from colleagues and management.
  • Provide end-user support, resolving technical issues and provides technical assistance for all operating systems.
  • Provide remote support through phone or end-user via phone.
  • Set up new hires with equipment and appropriate access to the company’s system.
  • Maintenance of the business software applications.
  • Implements, installs, configures, monitors, trouble shoots and evaluates existing and new operating systems.
  • Confers with database programmers, analysts or other system administrators.
  • Directs technicians who are involve in diagnosing and correcting systems related to failures and performing system management and determines logical solutions.
  • Maintain excellent communication and cooperate well with other departments and colleagues.


Your Profile:

  • 1+ year experience in system administration.
  • A Degree in Computer Science or other related field or adequate experience in a similar position.
  • Good knowledge of IP, TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS address management tool.
  • Experience with implementing & maintaining server hardware.
  • Familiar with UPS and PDU hardware.
  • Excellent knowledge in maintenance and troubleshooting of desktop hardware and software (Windows, Mac OS and Linux), Microsoft Office, Windows server and Exchange account and Active Directory administration.
  • Good knowledge of virtualization concepts and experience with VMware.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English Language.
  • Good communication skills (written and oral).
