The Role
As a VoIP / Telecommunication Engineer, you’ll design, deploy, support, and optimize modern telephony platforms used in live production environments. You’ll work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure resilient, high-performance voice systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, configure and troubleshoot Asterisk-based telephony systems
- Manage SIP trunks and interconnections with PBXs and telecom providers
- Analyse SIP/RTP traffic using tools like Wireshark, HOMER and PCAP
- Diagnose one-way audio, call drops, registration and media issues
- Implement and maintain complex dialplans, AGI and API integrations
- Support and maintain Linux environments (Rocky, CentOS)
- Monitor voice quality (latency, jitter, packet loss)
- Contribute to incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Support cloud-based deployments (Azure environments)
What We’re Looking For
- Proven hands-on experience in live VoIP production environments
- Strong expertise in SIP, RTP and call flows
- Solid Linux administration skills
- Experience with SBCs / SIP Proxy software
- Strong networking knowledge (NAT, firewalls, routing)
- Ability to read logs, analyse SIP traces and solve complex issues
- Experience in enterprise or high-availability environments
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Curiosity and interest in AI-powered voice technologies
