Plant Performance & Operations Engineer

Based in Cyprus | Monthly Travel to Libya

Our client is a leading international FMCG company and market leader in Libya, operating a major manufacturing and distribution facility.

We are looking for an Engineer with strong manufacturing/plant experience to take responsibility for monitoring plant performance, analysing operational data and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and cost.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move beyond traditional engineering into Plant Performance, Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement, while gaining valuable international exposure.

What you'll do:

• Monitor production performance, KPIs, OEE, efficiency, downtime, waste and quality.
• Review and analyse production reports and identify performance gaps.
• Conduct operational audits during monthly visits to the Libya plant.
• Investigate recurring issues, bottlenecks and production losses.
• Work closely with the Head of Quality, Technical Director and Production Manager.
• Prepare management reports and turn data into practical improvement
• recommendations.
• Analyze Plant cost per line and department with the aim of improving various KPIs
• Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Support in preparing for the various international audits

What we're looking for:

• Engineering degree – Industrial, Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing or related.
• Minimum of 5+ years' experience in manufacturing, production, plant operations or operational
• excellence.
• Strong analytical and data-management skills.
• Experience with production KPIs, OEE and performance reporting.
• Strong Excel skills; SAP/ERP experience is an advantage.
• Lean, Six Sigma, TPM or similar experience is desirable.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work with both plant teams and senior
• management.
• Fluency in English and Greek
• Willingness to travel to Libya approximately once per month.
