Deputy Finance Manager

Job Description

Our client, an international FMCG company with operations in Europe and North Africa, seeks to hire a Deputy Finance Manager to join their team in Nicosia, Cyprus and assist the operation that is based in Tripoli, Libya. You will be based in Nicosia and work closely with the Financial Manager and the team in both Cyprus and North Africa. Periodic traveling will be required (every three months or so)


The purpose of the role is to work alongside department managers, involved in all financial aspects of the company and assist in improving efficiencies within various departments. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly financial statements comparing previous periods and Budget
  • Implement control & audit procedures for stocks, debtors, bank/cash, expenditure
  • Develop a scorecard to measure various KPIs and suggestions for improvement
  • Cash flow preparation and management
  • Profit center analysis and costing of products
  • Feasibility study for new Projects and/or capital expenditure
  • Cooperation with other departments for smooth Company performance
  • Member of the management team for improvements in software programs
  • Preparation of annual financial budget
  • Projects assigned by CEO


Your Profile:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance/CPA/ Chartered Accountant from certified accountancy bodies such as CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW
  • Proven success in a Financial Manager or equivalent position of a global organization
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the discipline of Accounting and Finance
  • An in-depth understanding of the business model of the FMCG industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work on Oracle Finance or any other finance platform
  • Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office 
  • Proven success in people management
  • You must be willing to travel periodically to Tripoli, Libya for a period of 10 days
