They are expanding their team in Cyprus and looking to hire a Compliance Reporting Specialist. The position is based in Nicosia. 


This position is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Compliance Reporting team. The Compliance Reporting team oversees regulatory reporting for the group's regulated entities. The major reporting regimes include EMIR (Europe), MiFIR (Europe), ASIC (Australia), FSCA (South Africa) regulations. The types of regulatory reports include transaction reporting, best execution, pre and post transparency, commodity position reporting as well as ad hoc regulatory reports. This position is ideal for someone with a business analyst or programming background who is looking for an opportunity in the compliance industry. No prior experience in regulatory reporting is required.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of monitoring practices over transaction reporting
  • Understanding various regulatory reporting regimes
  • Managing several key vendor relationships related to regulatory reporting
  • Structuring a controlled environment to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the transaction reports submitted to the regulators
  • Correspond with Legal, Compliance, IT, Financial Analysis and Operations staff members in order to address new or updated regulatory requirements
  • Gathering requirements and specifications for updates to regulatory reporting systems
  • Continuously improving the transaction reporting process from an efficiency and effectiveness standpoint, including automation of manual processes
  • Preparing Management Information to Senior management with relevant transaction reporting KPIs including and regarding any deviations and the associated near and long term plans to address the root cause


Your Profile:

  • The ability in writing SQL queries to store, sort, and retrieve data
  • Desire to learn new languages such as Python and R programming
  • Degree in Computer Science, Compliance, Finance or other applicable fields of study desired
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Experience within the compliance, technology, or financial services field will be considered an advantage
  • Ability to work with the financial regulatory text
